It is starting to look like Spike likes his quarantine over his tank. Why is this weird? Because the quarantine is only 1/2 gallon! I keep the fish in there to treat them and back to their 5 gallons they go.
Well, since Spike has perked up a lot and everything I thought I would put him back in his tank. He hated it. Then, when I put him back in the 1/2 gallon, he perked up again.

Does this mean he just wants to stay in his 1/2 gallon?

Should I go and get him at least a 1 gallon or something so he'll have some more room?

If he likes it better where he is, I don't see any reason to try and make him change his mind. It doesn't really hurt him.

i would do the one gallon, just so he has just a bit more room.

You could try the 1 gallon and see how he does and if he doesn't like it, put him back in his old one and get another betta for the new one. lol

Haha, I really don't need anymore though!
I can try to get him the 1 gallon soon. I might get out of the house tomorrow sometime, so I might swing by PetSmart.

Haha, fish are so picky and spoiled! :] that's funny he seems to like the smaller one better! Sounds like your guy definitely has a personality of his own!

I hope it's just an odd personality and not some underlining problem that will rear it's ugly head at the point of no return. :(
