Flaring question.

I was staring at Red from about 6 inches away and he flared at me for a few seconds. Anyone know why??

Because he feels like it.

No seriously, I've had King George who was a grumpy old man fish I got from the store here who said he was received with the goldfish shipment o_O He was about 5 or older when I got him? xD He flared if I were to look at him across the room. That's like... 10 feet. And of course I had him next to my computer. So he was always grumpily flaring. No idea why, no reason for him to be such a grump.

He's thinking "What you lookin' at Willis?"
or
"Take a picture, it lasts longer." :)

I've had my grump who did that, then females in a sorority who begged for food across the room Then one who always hid... like "oh dang she saw me!"

Flaring is not always agression, sometimes it's just the little boys showing off for you.My little cuties do it too.

Flaring is a conversation in itself :p it's a "go away!" "This is me!" "MY territory!" "I'm afraid!" "What's up?" "Let's play!" "Let's fight!" "I'm good looking!"
