Is it worth the trouble?-sorority

I'm still trying to figure out what to do with my 10g tank when it's empty again. Looking for advice on sorority tanks. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. I have some questions too.....

1. Would 6 be a good number in a 10g?
2. How did you prepare for your sorority if you have/had one?
3. How long, if you did, did you qt each female for?
4. Was a sorority tank a very difficult process to go through?
5. Did you ever get a sorority to turn out well?
6. How many deaths did you have total, if any?
7. Dop you recommend a 10g sorority?

Any other tips, comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

I tried making a sorority and it didn't work for me. It works best with females that have been raised together.
I put 5 in a 10 gallon, 5 is a good min. to have in a 10 gallon.
I prepared the tank by putting many hiding places and plants in the tank.
I didn't have any deaths, just some torn fins before I got them all out.
10 gallons are fine for a sorority, but with my experience bigger would be better.
In all honesty, I would never try it again.

I think it depends on the personalities of the girls as to whether it will work.

I am not having a good experience with a sorority. If you are going to do it I would try to find a breeder who raises the females in the same tank. defenitely atleast stick to Bettas of the same color, mainly the lighter ones because they ar emore docile.

2. I had 9 in a 29 gallon tank with a big decoration with many holes and tons of fake plants for them to hide.

4. So far it has. I had nine females and had to remove two of them. One was too agressive(dark blue) and I woke up one morning to find another with barely any fins. I can't afford tanks for each of the rest so if there are anymore accident sI don't know what I am going to do.

6. No deaths so far just torn up fins on one of the Betta.
7. In all honesty no. I have had mine for two days and I am worried what is going to happen to all of them. If I were you buy a 10g, buy a single male and try some cories which like to be at the bottom.

I think some breeders sell groups of females that are sisters and already acclimated to living with each other.
