Tank placement.

Ok so i got Brutus yesterday and hes quite the fish bully. I put his and Sylvesters tank next to eachother and he cant stop flaring and being a punch. Sylvester could care less and just goes about his daily business in his tank.

I have Akiyo and Philips tank on either side of my monitor and they cant see eachother and i was wondering should i move Brutus to one of those tanks where he cant see another betta, or will he get used to seeing Sylvester all the time and chill out? I dont want to stress him out too much and he seems to spend most of his time flaring....

well, wait a few days or a week. If he still flares nonstop, I would move him.

Tian-Tian did the same thing for a few days with Taco. Once in a while he'll flare at Taco and Taco could care less. :)

Give it a while. If nothing else, just stick a piece of paper between the two tanks. That's what I did with my boys at first. I gradually moved the paper, moved it back over a few days. Eventually Tian-tian was okay with seeing Taco that they now are in full view of each other.
