Not eating?

After all kinds of water changes, and different medicines and going from fungus, to bacteria to Ick to Popeye, my lil fish is thriving! I feel like I have nuked the poor thing til he glowed, but he is doing so much better and I have learned so much about this fish and aquariums and tank water!
It seemed that I would get one thing on the mend and something else would happen until finally, he was laying on the bottom with popeye!

But, my question is this, he is swimming, looks so much better, but now, I can't get him to eat???? He has never liked hte Bio-Gold so I have continued to feed the ColorBright flakes. He eats a flake or two and that is about it........Any suggestions? Am I missing something?

Are the flakes specifically for bettas? You can try freeze dried or frozen bloodworms, daphnia or brine shrimp to get his appetite going but these foods are usually fed as a once or twice a week treat.

Maybe you could try a different brand of pellet. Flakes are pretty messy. Possibly bloodworms as a snack once or twice a week would help?

Sometimes bettas are so picky you have to try several different things before they decide on something they like. lol

I agree! My betta likes what he likes and doesn't want to be tricked into liking anything else!!!

Well, I have had him since October and he has been eating these flakes. They are Betta ColorBright brand. He seemed to like them. He will eat, just a few and then won't touch them. And, he is not as aggressive either.
I have bloodworms, I gave him some yesterday. He nibbled on a few but really didn't want them either. And, as I sit here and watch him, I am thinking maybe his fins might still be clumped. I just can't tell with him because he hangs out at the top and then will swim around and so on and so on..........geeez, trying to diagnose a fish can make you crazy!

What's the tank temp? There may be some other issue than just his eating that you can't see.

I know.....maybe he is still healing....or mad at me.......or on a diet?
