Tap Water Dechlorinator

I just discovered I still had some of this dechlorinator, made by Top Fin. Do I need it with our new betta, Mr. Bubbles? He is in a bowl approx 1.5-2gallons. I will have to clean it in the next couple of days and I will add it to the water as I let it stand before using it in the bowl. Also do I do a 100% change with the water?
I am hoping to get a new tank soon although it will only be a 2gallon as well, but it will be a better quality. This one is shaped like a gumball machine and the bowl itself is only plastic. Not very practical when I get a heater for it.

Yes you do need it!!!! Tap water will KILL your fish.

Yes deffinitely use it! I am kind of new to Bettas but with my one gallon tank I do 50% water changes every other day or so and a full change around once a week.

A jar that big will need a water change once or twice a week.

I was at Petsmart today and I saw water conditioner specific to bettas made by Topfin, my guess this one is OK and the other is just to make you spend more money, am I right?

No. For example one betta water conditioner has you use 1 capful per 1/2 gallon where the regular water conditioner has you use a capful per 10 gallons of water.

I NEVER use "Betta Water Condtioner". They're just a waste of money...

I just re-read my last post, You gave the answer I was looking for MrVampire181. I meant the betta ones were a waste of money. The one I currently have is just 2 drops/gallon of water in the directions. It says I can add it with the fish in the water but I think I will just add it before I put Mr. Bubbles back in.

I like Prime because you only use 2 drops per gallon.
