Kitsune and Akage?

Thinking about going with those names! From what I can figure out online, Kitsune is Japanese for 'fox' and Akage is Japanese for 'redhead' :]

Hahahaaaaa I LOVE that "dramatic" pose of Kitsune! :D Very nice capture and gorgeous fish!

Where are everyone getting their purple/red Bettas from (Akage)? I have only seen a few around here like 'em. Beautiful coloring. :)

Thank you everyone! :]]

Yea, TianTian, he really looks like he's posing but I just caught his flip-turn back to the top of the tank :]]

I got them both at Walmart and their colors honestly aren't quite that explosive in the tank but the camera flash really reflects off of their scales and gives them a pop!

I think they still have quite a way to go before they look like they're supposed to look. Wal-mart wasn't a happy place :[

kitsune is a great fish, i love that silver/blue colour in bettas!!!! and that is a great photo of kitsune too, it shows a good angle of him. i am less mad about akage. also nice he seems to have enflamed gills which could mean poor water quality. both tanks are good setups, though sparce in decor. i like the rocks in kitsunes tank.
