Feeding Betta's

I currently have ten betta's. Three males and seven females.
My veiltail male, Tyco, does not eat. I have him in a temporary fish bowl, its 1 gallon. He was a rescue from petsmart. I saw him there twice before I actually bought him. He looked sick and very sad at first, his stress marks where very visible and he was laying in the bottom of the cup. Now when I go to feed him, he eats nothing. I usually cut up some pea's and carrots and he seems to like them A LOT. So do all my other fish (I have five tanks) Is there anything else I could feed him?

What is the temperature of the water and how often (and what percentage) do you do a water change? What are you feeding him?

I would advise against feeding bettas vegetables or fruits, bettas are 100% carnivorous and their digestive systems are not designed to handle a lot of fibre. That, and it is completely unnatural.

I change every 3 days, I don't have a thermometer for his tank, but I will surly get one. Thats next on my list for the pet store trip this thursday.
And really? I watched a lot of video's that they should have veggies. I've given it to them for 2 days straight, I hope it doesn't hurt them. Do you think it will? :/
Is there any homemade food I could give them? I've tried everything. Even my females are picky, they wouln't eat anything but blood worms.

Are you feeding pellets? If so, what kind?

And yup, veggies should not be a part of a bettas diet. It probably won't do much harm short term but would be detrimental if you kept it up.

I feed them flakes, pellets, and blood worms.
The pellets are called "Tetra Betta Plus"

That might be it. I would switch to a different pellet like new life spectrum or omega one, which are higher in protein, have better ingredients and less filler, and are more enticing then tetra and most other brands.
