Yeah, I think as long as they're pretty warm they just get used to a certain temperature and do just fine.
Oh, by the way, how exactly will I know if my fish goes unconscious? He'll look dead or something?

Here's a picture of my beautiful fish before he got finrot, I wish I could get him back to this

Here's now. You can see his fins are clamped and tight, they never change from that.

*sigh* I wish I could make him all better.

I did the salt bath a few hours ago. His personality hasn't changed much. He's still agressive and hungry as always. Hopefully there will be a change in his health soon.

I was wondering how often should i do salt baths while he has the finrot?

Update on Luchi:

He seems to be doing slightly better. His pectoral fins which were severely damaged seem to be growing back already. I have been administering salt baths which he actually doesn't seem to mind. He's also been in a quarantine tank with some Jungle Fungus Clear. I hope he continues to look better. His color is just very dull and his fins have lost all their fullness.
His appetite has NOT changed. He's as hungry as ever which I feel may be a good and positive sign. He even ate his first bloodworm yesterday!

Hopefully he's getting better! =]

Thank you sir! I'm not new to this hobby, and have some good info to share now and then

How is he doing? Is the fin rot slowing or halted? never mind, i just saw your post above, glad to hear he is doing better. I would ease off on the meds if administering salt baths. Too much treatment creates undo stress.

I'm glad Luchi is doing better. I think that the fact that he's eating good is a good sign.

Well the medication is supposed to be for 4 days. He only gets 1/8 of a tab and it dissolves in the water. Unfortunately, I work ALL day so I've only been able to give him the salt baths once a day. Well it work if I only am able to do it that much?

yeah that should be fine, especially if his fins are already starting to regrow. I'd just do the salt bath and light dose of bettafix in the water.

Actually there is regrowth I would stop with the baths as well. they are meant to neutralize the illness not as a continued treatment. and if regrowth is already happeing you should be good with just some bettafix and clean water.
