Strange white spots on mouth

I came home this evening and saw that Flair had these two strange white spots on his upper lip. I don't remember seeing them before. And everything else looks completely normal on him. Just these two little white spots - one on the left side and one on the right side of the upper lip. I have attached pictures. He does have a plastic plant in the tank, but I did the tissue/hose test and they didn't tear them. He loves to be around the green plant I have in there. Do you think he might have rubbed a little to hard on the green plant? Because if it was Ick I would expect him to have lost color and have the white spots more numerous.





So what do you guys think?

In my honest opinion I just don't think it looks like a case of ick. But I'd rather get some other people's thoughts.

I can't really tell what it could be from the pictures. Maybe he just grew a mustache? :P

Thanks!! I'm really starting to think he rubbed the plant the wrong way. I really need to go out and get silk ones - I just had to wait till I got some money.

Well, I posted yesterday saying about some white stuff on Merlin. And I did some research and settled with Columnaris(spelling). One of the symptoms are white spots around the mouth, and the other are what Merlin has, the stringy white stuff on his fins and body. So I got Jungle Lifeguard all in one treatment and I'm hoping it works because it says it works for Bacterial(which this is), fungus and other stuff. It's only like $5 and I can't say if it works or not, because I've only used one dosage so far. Here's the site I was looking at...
