Morado,Fishy and Bella are in my room. Everybody gets attention one way or the other! My mom likes my fish. She just doesnt wanna have to take care of them lol.

I think shes one of those people who would keep theirs in a small vase, so she doesnt understand why im getting tanks for my betta.......
Same here my mom is doesnt understand why I cant just have vases or those little Petstore "betta houses", shes keeps saying "they live in a little cup Im sure they wont mind a big 1/2g"

I started out with 2 on the bar between my kitchen and dining room. Then I got "I wish you'd move those fish somewhere else! " So I moved them upstairs... and added 4 more! lol

I'm a mom and I love fish.
I think having any kind of pet teaches kids responsibility and compassion towards animals, whether it's fish or a dog, etc. When I was a kid I had horses and those were a lot of responsibility.

I keep both of mine in my room. Where there is no danger of anything or anyone, except maybe my standard poodle! I'm very protective of my fish, so they stay in my room.

My Dad was a petlover and was always bringing something home, much to my Mom's chagrin!!

I guess I have to re-state myself: my mom doesn't mind my fish at all but I'm sure she minds them sitting on her mother's (my grandmother's) antique sewing machine. :D

LOL I know what you mean. My bettas are on an antique cedar chest from my mother in law. But it needed refinishing anyway.

I Have 2 betta tanks on my bedroom desk (which are completely pimped out with everything a betta needs), 2 on my dresser (which aren't as pimped :( ), and a goldfish tank downstairs next to my computer xD
