Live Blackworms

I just bought a bag of live blackworms to feed my bettas. They LOVED them! I was wondering if anyone has any experience with them and how to handle them, pro's and con's, etc. Thanks!

Live food is good for bettas but can also carry parasites. Rinse them well before feeding.

I've read that black worms are the worst at carrying parasites. I agree with drama.

I heard they can cause dropsy.

If they are quality black worms they should be fine. You will need to rinse them well though. They do not carry the parasites that tubifex do. But may have some, rinse well before feeding.
