WHOA dad's surprise!

When I got back home from school, I knew empty tank was waiting me once again... Yet, I saw empty petco bag! So, I checked my tank and didn't saw any fish. And dad called me over and said he bought King Betta! Therefore, I checked my tank again and this time I found huge black betta swimming around the tank. I was soooooo surprised to find him. I never seen betta this big. I was sad in the morning because Dolf was dead in the tank... he refused to eat for five days and he died.... but now new betta in the tank :D I named him Kissinger xD LOL

Nice! How big is the tank? That must have been a neat thing to come home to.

(Just how I would feel) I would actually be downright angry is someone put a fish in one of my tanks. Especially without quarantining it. I have my own system and that's why I don't let anyone near my fish if I can help it lol.

Tank is 2.5 gallon with adjustable heater and thermometer but without filter. :P
And I gave him dinner: four pellets.
He chewed one and spitted it out and then he grubbed two up then chewed but spitted out again. Then he played with it couple more times and then ate them all LOL At first I thought he doesn't like pellets xD I guess his player ^^

I don't want to rain on your parade, but I really think Kings should have at least ten gallons. My husband has one, and after watching how active he is in there I couldn't imagine having him in anything smaller. However, that is just my opinion/personal experience.

I have a King that is the size of the one you have. We've had him about 6 months now and he is only about 3 to 3 and a half inches long. Nowhere near as big as the other king we got who is almost 5 inches long but he is a halfmoon and the regular kings don't seem to get as big. The one I have is in a 10 gallon but would be perfectly fine in a smaller tank if i chose to put him into one.
