I used to be in the weekly water change club. It's been a few years since I've relaxed my regimen. And no, it is not any more difficult to maintain a cycle in a small tank versus a large one. Both are equally easy.

You mean you do less than weekly water changes? Lol if I relaxed my regimen, i would probably just get worse and worse about it over time...that's just the way I am :)

Yup. I have an azoo palm filter (hob) on it.

No not at all. On a cycled tank, with a few exceptions, doing water changes more than once a week is unnecessary. Even weekly isn't "necessary", but if that's what you want to do then great - that's a superb schedule.

Awesome thanks :). I just finished moving my betta into a new 2.5 gallon tank...But I moved all the same stuff into the new tank without cleaning it - including the filter (sponge) so hopefully it is just cycled already...

It may not be cycled so keep an eye on the parameters. I've found what "should" and what "is" are often two different things.

Luckily the move into the new tank did not disturb the cycle :). I was careful about keeping the sponge filter and decor wet with old tank water while moving it, and even filled the new tank halfway with the old water before topping it off with new water. I was worried though!
