Territorial

I was wondering if a Betta can become territorial over objects in the tank. My girl Gabriel is in a 10 gallon with 4 otos. I put zucchini in the tank for the Otos to eat at night.
Well, she hangs around the zucchini a lot. I'm wondering if she is chasing them away from it or what. She hasn't hurt any of them and she isn't territorial about anything else in the tank.
Should I just remove her from the tank on the nights that I put in the Zucchini or just hope she'll eventually get used to it?

bettas can be territorial over anything that is floating ...very often they use any floating object as an hiding place or something....I have seen this ...when my betta became territorial with a Water Lettuce plant which was floating in my tank

my betta is terotoral with one of my plants when i put the neons in it they went starght for than plant then died

I guess she thinks of it as her tank, therefore, her zucchini.

The Zucchini doesn't float, I have a veggie clip for it.
Funny that she thinks it's her since they were there first. Of course, they are territorial too. The Otos are still plump so I guess they are still eating.

I don't think they will let her stop them from eating. lol
