Question about flake food

I have a rather silly question. We just bought a new tank for my daughter's betta and it came with goldfish flakes, (Nutrafin Max) and goldfish bowl conditioner. We already have conditioner and betta food, and bloodworms. Would it hurt to use a few of the goldfish flakes here and there? Same goes with the conditioner, would it hurt the betta?

Also, this tank is acrilyc and the previous bowl was just a cheap plastic. Anyhoo the temp in the old bowl was about 74 and this one is almost 80, neither had/has a heater yet. Does anyone know why this would be? The bowl is in the same room in the same spot.

Yop it'll hurt...not that gold fish food is bad for bettas it's more because the food will rot and Mr. Betta will go up (belly up to be exact). Bettas are snobs so he'll reject it :/

lol, yeah it depends how picky your betta is, but yeah, pretty much he prob. won't eat it. About the temp. I don't know. How warm is the room itself? Maybe the material the bowl is made of is helping to absorb heat or keep heat in the water? IDK Read the instructions on the conditioner,I think it is just normal conditioner.

Its best to feed bettas a pellet or flake food made for bettas.

I would not mess around with using the conditioner. Stable water parameters are best for fish and swapping around conditioners isn't recommended, IMHO.
