Uh Oh...

I just saw my cat staring at my bettas.... might need to make sure she doesn't go in the fish room anymore or we might lose some cherished family pets...

Hm. I would guess so. Maybe they're making friends?

Yep. I have to make sure my lids are on tight. I hope she doesn't get anyone...that would be sad.

My cat was eyeing my betta the other day. That was the first time they even noticed each other. The cat looked so confused.

Aww, poor kitty. I can only imagine the terror of the betta.

Two of my three cats have taken an interest. I've seen my female lounging on the counter next to my community tank just staring. Not in that predatory sense, but like she was just interested. I still made her get down. But my gray tuxedo made me angry when I caught him chewing the air tubes for the sponge filters this morning. I had to buy new ones, entirely. Ohhhh boy I was angry. At least they don't seem to show any interest in playing with the fish themselves.

Tallulah would be in so much trouble if she decided to play with the fish.

My cats are used to fish since I have a 75g hexagon in my living room. They never really showed to much interest in them. Then i got my 5gallon betta tank that sits next to my bed on a night stand. The night stand has just enough room for my cat to lay next to the tank and when she first started laying there my betta would flare at her and get all crazy! Now she lays next to the tank and Hatori Hanzo will lay on the bottom of the tank next to her!!!! I will have to try and get a pic of it!
