Black Stuff

There seems to be some black stuff growing on the gravel. I put in aquarium salt every week when I change the water. Is this the bacteria that gets rid of ammonia and nitrate. Can someone help me/

The tank is 3 gallon, all I have in it is one female betta. I dont have live plants since the tank gets little to no sunlight. I will do more water changes and see if it helps.
