@Jada

I have a few giants laying around and I can tell you they foul the water FAST-they are easily 5-6 times as big weight wise than a regular betta. You cannot keep one in a 2gallon tank unless you change the water every single day. I kept mine in 2g QT tanks and the ammonia was at .5 every morning. I have one giant male in a moderately planted 10g with two guppies and the water chemistry stays very stable. I had two giants in a divided 10g with one 10G sponge filter and I had to watch the chemistry very carefully. I did 50% wc a week in a cycled tank. I couldn't imagine putting 6 giant girls in a 10g.

Mine were over 2" body only at 4 months old. If they are much smaller than that at 3-7 months old they aren't giants.

Unless you got fish from a spawn I don't know about (and I was at his house looking at his fish two weeks ago lol) those aren't giants. He has giants that he hasn't bred yet and his marble halfmoons have some giant genes in them *I think*, but the spawn he is currently selling are just regular (well, size wise. the coloration is far from regular, in a good way) halfmoons. You can ask him just to be sure though.

If they are giants maybe you could get a big clear storage container to keep them in until you can get a bigger tank. Many people have used storage containers without a problem to keep fish in. You can it set the same way as any other tank.

Ok, that makes more sense. But the girls are 3x as fat as my boys and have a .5 X .5 centimetre bump on their bellies.
