Petco man gives false info...

So i was looking through the bettas and there was a man talking to another man who worked there about fish. I hear the petco guy say "Bettas are only aggressive toward other betta. They do fine with other fish"

...yah. I said out loud "well thats b.s." well i said that actual word but you know what i mean haha. I dont think they heard me but i hope they did....

Sadly everyone needs to learn the hard way that pet stores will say anything for a sale. I was told I could put two males together. Luckily I did research and said "Yeah I don't need your help anymore, go away. Thanks." My friend was totally shocked, telling me I would get kicked out. It is funny now but I would be pissed if I listened to him!

I wish they were too. I hate seeing people come on here saying "I have a male and female in a one gallon and he keeps chasing her and she's at the bottom not moving and her fins are torn. The petstore dude told me males and females can live together. What do I do? "

Exactly! That or "The petstore guy told me I didn't need a heater... why is my fish just laying at the bottom?"

I do like that Petsmart has the brochures with information...but they need to put them WITH the bettas, not a few aisles down...

What they should do is put one in the bag when customers buy the fish or better yet, hand it to them when they check out.

Well when I went to Petsmart the other day, I asked the people what exactly am I supposed to put in the tank for plants? I was like "I know there is something, but I'm not positive what I am supposed to put in." The answered shocked the LFS...."water conditioner is all you need. We use prime..." Obviously I knewthey were wrong, but still... she went on to say "Chlorine will eat your plant alive." lol

It just shows again how uneducated they are.
