Stinky Tank

My tank has been up and running for awhile now. Have fish in it.... da da da....

I went to scoop out a victim of the filter and was overwhelmed with this gross smell. The tank is clean, did a 75% water change two days ago. I checked all the levels of ph, amonia, nitrate and nitrite. Everything is where it should be.

Any ideas on why it smells and what I can do to fix that?

Could it possibly be the conditioner? I use Prime and it has a Sulfur smell to it.

If the filter victim was a dead fish, it may be that. Dead fish does not small good.

Maybe it was the dead fish. I'll check it again in the morning. As for the conditioner, I don't think its that because its never done that before. I use the AquaPlus stuff right now....

Did the problem solve itself? Or does the tank still smell? If so, does the tank smell like rotten eggs?

Its cleared up now. I think it was actually some food at the bottom of the tank....

That will do it. I'm loving my ghost shrimp for that cleanup!

I have some Corycats now and they seem to be doing a good job.
