Post Medicine Chest. What should be in it?

I'm building a Betta Medicine Chest.
What are the items I should have in it?
I want to cover all the bases.

Thanks

Epsom Salts (straight magnesium sulfate heptahydrate, no scents or additives). Aquarium Salt.
Triple Sulfa
Maracyn 1 & 2
Tetracycline
Those are pretty much all medicines I think. There may be others. You of course also have a bunch of water conditioners, but the above are the only meds I've ever used.

these are just a few of the basics
aquarium salt for external injuries and to prevent infection
epsom salts to help with SBD, bloating, and constipation
a general cure medicine for external bacteria and parasites
a parasite medicine for internal parasites

I do not keep a medicine chest( no need)
I'm not a big believer in salt or magnesium sulfate in freshwater aquariums. They both cheap an readily available, if need.
As far as antibiotics they would be out of date before I would ever need them.
I don't mean to condemn anyone but If you need a box full of chemicals and drugs you're doing something wrong. If you knowingly buy a sick fish that's one thing, then you know what you are getting into, buy your meds then. But you don't need a box of stuff to keep healthy

I'll second the Epsom and Aquarium salts (they are different, and used for very different problems), and add to it:

API Furan-2 or Jungle Fungus Clear (same active ingredient)

Seachem Kanaplex (this one is very useful!!! You will need to order it online most likely and having it in advance is a good idea).

API Triple Sulfa

also good to keep around is some Indian Almond Leaf, and some StressCoat+. You can now get the StressCoat at Wal-Mart.

I live in a town with 1 pet shop, and don't have access to many medicines. So my Maracyn 1 has an expiry date of 2014, August (I ordered it online 3 weeks ago in case i needed it for my ADF's or bettas). How long can this actually last past expiry date while still remaining potent? Reason i ask is because I don't want to order a bunch of "incase" medicine online and waste my money.

At least 6 months, probably up to a year.

Honestly, I've never needed anything stronger than AQ salt and Indian Almond Leaf. Most illnesses get better with conservative treatment, or the conservative treatment gives you time to order more aggressive meds. If the fish dies in the meantime, it was probably too late already.
