Question Betta has a small white dot

Ok I feel kind of silly but Im really not sure if my betta has the start of something or if its just him. Ive even tried a magnifying glass to get a better look at it but he moves around to fast. Should I maybe add salt to his tank for a day or 2 as a precaution? I hate to wait and see if it gets worse

Where exactly is this white spot? Can you get a few different pictures?

additionally

Ive had my betta for just 1 week he looks and acts fine eating well. He is in a 10 gallon tank by himself heated and with a filter and a bubble stone. I have a small piece of driftwood that I bought at the fish store but boied, soaked and scrubed it before putting it in his tank, also a moss ball.

Okay. Trick is to just take lots of pictures and hope for the best lol. If you give him some food he might sit still long enough for a picture. Sometimes that works sometimes it doesn't.

Is your betta a male or female? Is it young?

well the reason I want to see the pictures is because depending on what it is, it will change the treatment. AQ salt can sometimes hurt it or make it worse so I need pictures to be able to tell before I diagnose.

If he is quite young or a female, it is an egg spot. That is normal. Even if he is a mature male, there is a small chance he will have one.
