urgent help please

right I woke this morning to find my betta stuck In a decoration that I thought wasn't even possible to get in, he was wedged, I have managed to free him, but now half his back is white and he looks to have a cut on his back, he is still swimming around, should I put him in my spare 1 gallon tank unheated, rather than the current one he is in so he doesn't have the filter going all the time, cant turn it off as he shares a tank, also is there anything I can do to help him???

Could you fill out these questions and maybe post a Picture?

What temperature is your tank?
Does your tank have a filter?
Does your tank have an air stone or other type of aeration?
Is your tank heated?
What tank mates does your betta fish live with?

Food
What type of food do you feed your betta fish?
How often do you feed your betta fish?

Maintenance

How often do you perform a water change?
What percentage of the water do you change when you perform a water change?
What type of additives do you add to the water when you perform a water change?

Water Parameters:
Have you tested your water? If so, what are the following parameters?

Ammonia:
Nitrite:
Nitrate:
pH:
Hardness:
Alkalinity:

Symptoms and Treatment
How has your betta fish's appearance changed?
How has your betta fish's behavior changed?
When did you start noticing the symptoms?
Have you started treating your fish? If so, how?
Does your fish have any history of being ill?
How old is your fish (approximately)?

Clean, warm water and good nutrition is the best way to promote healing of wounds.

I would keep him in clean water that's about 78-82F, and increase the number of water changes that you normally do. This will remove bacteria and toxins, and lessen the chance of the wound getting infected.

You can also baffle the filter, so the current doesn't blow him around as much.
