Problem with my female betta overeating

A few days ago my female bettas (Lulu) little 1 gallon tank developed a hairline crack so i went out and got her a 3 gallon eclipse and a little peppered cory as a tank friend. They've been getting along pretty well but Lulu LOVES the corys bottom feeder food and has been overeating. I tried feeding the cory at night but Lulu was so fast she still had time to gobble up a bunch of the pellet before i shut off the light. I don't want to deny food to the cory- any ideas on how to keep her away from his food?

Cories should be kept in groups of at least 3. I suggest a bigger tank.

You could net her while you feed the cory. It would be easier to keep her from the food if she was in a bigger tank.

Cories are schooling fish and need groups or 4 or more to be happy.

Decided you guys were right- took the cory back to the pet store and traded him for some ghost shrimp
