LOL ok the thread title sounds funny but I am serious. I have been treating Rusty (my VT) for fit rot and using salt baths but also had to resort to meds. He starts to get better and fins start showing regrowth haven't stopped meds but his regrowth keeps reversing itself.

So my question is 2.65 gallon tank with filter water temp about 84F
I've done full course with Betta Revive and several full water changes.
He keeps reversing.

I use some treated tap and some R/O water together and add aquarium salt too. Melafix didn't help now the betta revive isn't working either.

How many times per week should I do a 25% water change?
How many times should I do 100% water changes?

Both while treating and when I'm not treating anymore...

When I treat Shota for fin rot, I always put him in a smaller hospital tank :S easier to clean and manage.

I did 100% water changes for a week and salt baths every day while treating him with medicine (Maracyn 2) while following instructions. I tried to maintain his tank temperature at 80+ degrees.

DramaQueen just recommended I try using Maracyn 1 and 2 together to treat the fin rot :S

If medicine isn't helping as much, maybe try and do a few more salt baths daily?

I would trey the holistic methods first, like neenjar says and if its not working after a few days, then I'd try the Maracyn 1 and 2.

The above info pretty much covers it. I would try and get the tank temp down between 78-80, 84 is a bit warm.

To answer your water change question, when treating for fin rot in that small of tank, 100% daily changes, unless using meeds that say dose every couple days, then 100% on dose days.

When the fish are healthy I would do 25% once a week and 100% once a week.

One of my fishes got finrot, Gurgle. And i dont think i have the time to clean his water everyday with salt baths too. ugh its too hard. But maybe i can do it every other day or something....
