we are going to get a much needed much better hospital/quarantine tank.
We've been using a 1/2 gallon and although it's easy to clean and maintain, it's just not a good quarantine. We are thinking along the lines of a 2.5 gallon with a heater. The biggest thing is keeping a steady temp. and this should do it.
We have an extra filter to sitting around. It's a whisper and was too fast for my 10 gallon. Maybe I can find a way to slow it down for the 2.5.

I'm excited about this. Now maybe I can recoup these guys a little faster.
I'm still going to use the 1/2 gallons for the salt baths though.

Alright we went to Petsmart to get the tank. They had sold out of the one I was going to get! I was wondering what I was going to do then hubby suggested the Critter Keeper (I've mentioned it before). We looked and they had a 2 gallon one for a little cheaper then the tank I was going to get. We bought that, the heater, and a little decor as a hiding spot. I put a stick on thermometer and noticed that the temp. is staying at a good steady number. I'm not going to put the heater in unless he needs it. I went ahead and gave Antubis a salt bath and put him in.
He loves it! He is swimming everywhere and going in and out of the decor! I didn't put substrate in at all since it will be easier to clean that way. Anyway, just wanted to update!

I use critter keepers and they are great. I think they make good hospital tanks, too.

Ah cool. Yes I have critter keepers too! Among couple glass tanks haha...

I'm thinking of getting Pax a Critter Keeper. Which size is 5 gallons?

I need to get a hospital tank (just in case I need one). Maybe I should look at getting a critter keeper for that.

I have Jaden and Rusty in 2 1/2 gallon critter keepers and they have plenty of room to swim around. They both have plants and Rusty has a bridge, which he sleeps under.
