Water Conditioner?

I just wanted to know what water conditioner you guys used?

I used Kent Water Conditioner, but it ran out after 3 water changes in 5 Quart tank. I was wondering if you guys had any that lasted longer?

The most recommended is Prime, its drops per gallon so it lasts a long time.

I looked into that one because Earl is a rather big stresser! Does it work well?

That wouldn't work well for the current way I'm doing it... I refill it with 5 1 quart sized jars.

Pretty much Prime and Stresscoat plus are the most recommended from what I can see. I have used both and I like both. No problems with either of them. Stresscoat is 1ml per 2 gallons (so 10 drops per gallon) and if you have a small aquarium, they sell it in 1oz dropper bottles. I just got one for my 2.5g.

I have a 1.5 gallon tank so I hope I can figure out how much to put in it..

Also, changing conditioners isn't going to hurt him is it? Like. I have 4 1 quart bottles with Kent conditioner but I need a 5th that I would put the new one in.

Changing conditioners should not hurt the fish. Also it doesn't hurt to put a little too much conditioner so if you don't want the dropper bottle you can add 1ml for the 1.5 gallons. Non dropper bottle have a little ml measuring cap that comes with it.

I don't know why it wouldn't work but OK.

You'd need 3 drops of Prime per water change for your 1.5g tank. I'm not sure Stresscoat detoxifies ammonia (and I don't have time to research it right now). Prime and Amquel Plus treat ammonia and are recommended for that reason. Especially for small tanks.
