Fish feeders

I have a quick question. I have to go out of town for 4-5 days and no one will be around to help me feed my fishie........ I have been looking at automatic feeders and need opinions on which one to get, trying to keep it on the cheaper side.... PLEASE HELP

Well I don't know much about feeders. But I do know that bettas can go long periods of time with no food. If you fed your betta right before you left and then fed it first thing when you got home...it'll be just fine :)

I wouldn't even worry about feeding if you are going to be gone for just 4 or 5 days. Feed right before leaving and feed right when you return.Your fish will be just fine. Welcome to FishForum.

No worries on that at all. Betta can go up to four weeks with out food. Obviously not optimally, but in a pinch, so 4-5 days is fine.

I felt guilty only having mine fed every other day when I was gone for 2 weeks but they were fine.

This is a good thing to know. :] next week I'm going to NYC for 4 days and my Betts were going to be alone for about a day and a half w/o food. I'm glad to know they'll be okay!

Yep, they'll be fine. Just feed them right before you leave and feed when you get back.
