Snails in spawning/grow out tanks?

I bought some java moss, and got it yesterday. I rinsed it and soaked it in a bucket over night, and just added it to my spawning tank today (no fish in there). Well, now I see an egg sac on it. And I THINK I see a tiny ity bity snail, but it may just be a grain of sand, that's how small it is. If its gone later, ill know its a snail lol.

Should I remove the egg sac? I really don't want to kill them, I love snails and would like more in my tanks. But will they be okay with fry?

I messaged the person to find out what kind of snails they have with their plants, if they even know, so hopefully it's something cool like MTS, I love those.

But if they are no good with fry, I will remove the sac and speck immediately.

They are fine, especially the little ones... I have them in all my tanks and both my spawns are doing great with them in the tanks.

Sorry to disappoint, but MTS are live-bearers and don't have egg sacs.

Shows how much I know, haha. I barely have any snails, so I've been hoping for some hitchhikers badly, cause I don't wanna pay for "pests" LOL. Kinda hoping they are not pond snails though, since I've heard they're a pain. But ramshorn I like too, and this tiny speck looks like a ramshorn, or a pond snail.

& thank you, I will hope that my egg sac hatches! I turned on the heater just for the sac, wasn't planning on turning it back on for another week lol.

Haha. I went to my lfs, saw MTS in almost every tank, and asked the employee if they were for sale. She pretty much said "Yea, 25 cents each". So I got five for a buck 'cuz she was nice and threw in an extra one.

It might be worth a try if you see them at a store. They might even give them away.

I had asked my LFS if they sold mts a few months back, and they don't unfortunately. They have them in their planted tanks, but won't sell them! Unless they just call them something else, because they had nerites listed as tomato snails??? So who knows!

The seller replied already and said they are indeed ramshorns, so that's good! Now I can relax and hope they hatch!

It IS a little snail! Not a grain of sand lol.

Those water marks are on the inside bottom of the tank...how annoying lol.
