ADF eating algae wafer?

So I break up pieces of algae wafers for my cories and snail, but my larger frog has taken to eating them. It's not whole pieces, but she will gradually nom it down and effectively block off the cories from accessing it (they have other pieces around the tank though). I do feed my frogs by themselves -- I'll scoop them in a net and feed bloodworms via tweezers. So it's not as though they're starving. But I'm concerned that algae wafers may not be the best thing for them on a regular basis.
