Exclamation Treatments

Ok so my tank has some issues e.g one widow has pop eye and i have a silky/hair algae that likes to take over, so yesterday i poppet in the treatments and it said on the back:
"remove charcoal carbon and other chemical filter media whilst treating aquarium"
What does this mean? and what will it do because i havent taken it out + i think that stuff is mixed with the air pump... my tank is so messed up! x

What kind of filter do you have? Most hang on back filters have little packets of charcoal that goes into the filter pad...this will remove the meds from your water which is why you have to take it out.

Wait, you have the bio orb right? I think that has an undergravel filter but you can correct me if I'm wrong. If that is the case then you don't have any chemical media in there anyway so you don't need to do anything ;)
