Jackpot!

So, my family was at our local marina on a boating trip and what does my dad see? GIANT clumps of floating plants! And when I say giant, I mean giant. I grabbed a handful and pulled for a minute and ended up with a full garbage bag worth! Also, my lake water is clean enough to drink. It is a type of sea grass, I think, it is long strands with almost no leaves.

That's pretty sweet! Can you show pics? Maybe we can help identify it. Are you planning on using it in your tank?

So cool! :D

Just make sure that you get it really clean, if it was in the marina proper or in an area that has a lot of boat traffic, there will be some leftover oil/gas/diesel residue from the boats. You'll definitely want to get that off before you tank it. :)

Yay for free plants, lol! :D

Oh I didn't mean there's anything wrong with sea grass!
