my baby B died...

i had a feeling he wasnt going to make it thru what he had, he looked so bad when i left for work at 4. i was gone maybe three hours and he was gone. :( this is my second one. and i am thinking its my tank. which is why i bought a new tank today. i am just scared to get a new fish. :(

Sorry to hear about Boosh...RIP. Are you buying your bettas from the same place? Have you ever tested your water parameters?

awww that's too bad- it's awful when a pet dies- but yeah you should step back and really think about your set up- but do get another fish once you have it worked out! it's worth trying again for sures!

are you sure you're choosing fish that are healthy and not already sick? it's important to know what to look for when you buy one

well, i think i should get my water tested. also, i have gotten them from two different places. could you maybe tell me what i should look for in a healthy fish?

Do you use water conditioner? Do you keep up with water changes? How much were you feeding him?

well, because i had no filter i would change the top water daily, and the tank water every few days. two at the most. i fed him two pellets twice a day. except i accidently gave him 4 the other morning. i hope thats not what killed him. and i do use a conditioner.

also, i just checked the tank i just bought, i know i have no fish, but i have water in it. and the filter running. and i looked at it and there is this white film on it. ????

Accidently feeding him 4 pellets one time wouldn't have killed him.
