okay, i did it...

Today was Tuna's first salt bath. I used Epsom salt and he was fine with it. I also put some in his main tank. Yesterday, when i got the Mela fix for his fin rot, some people didn't want me to use it. I went ahead and tried it there was no fatal reaction. I had a plastic plant in there so i took that out. He is plant less for now. I am going to go out and buy a smooth plant since he loves plants. But he is going to have to wait until his next cleaning since i just cleaned him and i don't want to stick my hand in there. Overall he is fine, he is eating and his happy self. I will give him another dose of Mela fix at 4 p.m today. The rot isn't so bad,but he had a tear through in fin, and i woke up this moring to find that it ripped off the tail it is still connected to his body. It's hard to explain, but I just hope he is going to be ok.

I think the MelaFix will help. Just keep an eye on him to make sure he doesn't have any reactions to the meds.

Yes you can use it. I used it for Tuna's salt bath and he was fine, but i don't know if some bettas react to it. I read it was safe for all Bettas though. I would use it if i was you. :)

You can use Epsom salt. I'm glad Tuna is doing well. But like mentioned previously, just keep an eye out for any reactions to medications. Good luck!
