Question Could be a problem...

Well, today I found out my fish Akakios has somehow ripped his fins. I can't say I'm not surprised, since lately he has been chasing his tail when he eats. The problems here is I'm leaving for a week tomorrow to go to Colorado, and I'm completely unprepared for this issue. Do you think he'll be okay until I come back? Or is there something I should do?

I would give him some salt baths to help with the healing and make sure your water is clean before you leave.

I am in the same boat as you. Do salt bathes like previously said. I actually moved Flair to his hospital tank while I am gone.

Like every one is saying do salt baths. You could probably buy aquarium salt at your pet store. I now use a brand called API, it looks like a blue milk carton. You can also use Epsom salt. I used it once. I would change the water before you leave and don't forget the water conditioner. At least it is not Fin Rot, since it is a rip i believe it won't start decaying, but just be careful and watch it.
