i think somethings wrong with hydro

hello you guys hydro is kinda scaring me i just cleaned his water and now he keeps floting back up to the surface andc i dont think he can come down

That is usually a sign of SBD. Did you make sure to use conditioner in the water and acclimate him to the water before putting him back in?

oh i dont know how to acclimate him and yeah i used water condtioner and i only did a 50%

Look from above. Are his scales sticking out? Looking like a pine cone? Acclimating is getting him used to the temp (which should always be the same as the water he's currently in).

To acclimate you:
Take him out of his tank during water changes and put him in the cup he came in. (I usually take advantage of this time by giving my bettas salt baths). While he's in the cup, clean the tank or change the water, whichever you're doing. Then instead of putting him right back into the tank, let his cup float for about 15 minutes then release him.

cup? my betta came in a bag i threw away. when i clean his tank gallon i put him in the 1/2 i bought him when i thought it was good

Oh, well then I don't know how you would acclimate him. I've never seen a betta in a bag, except for when I first got Merlin because he was shipped from Thailand. Sorry I couldn't help.

If his scales are sticking out and he looks like a pine cone then he has dropsy. I am sorry to say, but it is very fatal and usually not cured. Let's just hope it is not that.
