hey im new here and im some what new to the betta world and ive been readin ur guys threads for a couple of days but anyways to the point i have a Crowntail male i got at wal mart a couple days ago and just recently i walked in my room to check him out and he was layin sideways???by the way i have seen him eat yet?? then he swam up on his plant and his tail is always turn sideways???is this normal cause the male betta i got yesterday eats and swims..help plz

Welcome to FishForum! Sounds like a swim bladder issue. I'd fast him for a few days and see how it goes.

Sorry, but what do u mean fast him??? i just walked in my room again and now his flaring and swimming fine...could it just be his personalty for laying somewhat sideways for a min?

Fasting, meaning don't feed him for a few days.
Floating on their side isn't normal behavior, it's usually a sign of SBD. If he is swimming around fine, then he probably isn't constipated anymore. I would still fast him a couple of days.
Make sure not to overfeed them, it's so easy to do, especially with the food container usually giving the wrong feeding instructions.

and even if he looks so hungry like mine still dont feed i would recomend 1 - 2 days
