My water parameters are all out of wack in my Betta tank!

Hey everyone, I have my Betta in a 10gallon tank with a filter.

My pH is extremely low. It is lower than 6.0 and I can't get it to raise! I never had a major pH problem in any of my other tanks so I only know the basics about it.

First, I tried "pH up" for a few days, nothing happened.

Second, I did some water changes and still nothing had happened.

I just put some coral and crushed coral in my tank in the beginning of the week. I read some where that doing so would raise my pH slowly.

I tested my water today and it still hasn't gone up.......my GH is 120+ and my KH is 40 or lower.

I know that the beneficial bacteria will die off when the pH is lower then 6.0.

If anyone can help me with my problem that would be awesome.

Did you try a water change? Test your clean water before you put it in though. I've noticed that usually that tap water is more basic than acidic, but I don't know if that's the same case for you. ):

I know the pH drops gradually over time because of the wastes your fish produces...
