how do you do a salt bath?

Sorry if this info is posted somewhere already, but, How do I do a salt bath? what about putting salt in the tank? I have a 3 gallon tank...

i think you put 1/2 teaspoon for every one gallon

OK Is pond salt by pondcare natural fish tonic the right kind of salt? it's the only one I could find

i don't know if pond salt and aquarium salt is the same thing. all ive heard is to use aquarium salt. or, epsom salt works too if you have some

oh boy. It seems to be the same. It talks about salt baths for disease but I am going to wait a little for more responses. thanks!

what about treating the entire tank with a small amount of salt? I thought I read that somewhere...

I think pond salt is the same thing as aquarium salt from what I've seen on the net. You can add salt to your tank also. I add about 1/2 teaspoon in my 5 gallon...not a ton - just enough to be in there.
