Newbie question

So my betta has been very happy, eating well(although she is picky!) and blowing tiny bubble nests everyday. I've notice though, that when I come up to the tank, she'll come up to the top and blow a bubble at me. She'll hangout at the top for a bit and follow my finger around, but it's always just one bubble that is a little bigger than the ones she blows for her nests. Could it just be her exhaling? I was unsure because she only does it right when I look into her tank, and not everytime she comes to the top for air.

That's cute! I find that whenever my bettas come up for air, they blow a bubble, too. I never noticed them doing it specifically when I approach their tanks, though.

It is really cute! I feel like she's showing off to me or something, haha.

I think it's males that make bubble nests.

Yes, some females make nests, lay eggs and put them in the nest.

My female gets eggy, makes a scattered and unorganized nest all over the surface, releases her eggs, then eats her eggs, then pops all the bubbles.
