Piece of my Betta's fin has been cut off!

He's a crowntail, and he somehow managed to get just one of the spikes cut off of his fin just now. No idea how it got cut off by a soft, silk plant, but it did. That's where I found it, stuck to the softest plant I could find in the store.


Now, should I treat him with anything or not? I would use salt baths, but he isn't very tolerant of salt, any amount seems to stress him. Or would keeping his water clean be enough.

Clean water will generally be good enough :)

I have some Bettafix on hand... so I'll add some of that in if I don't see it growing back soon. I hope he'll be alright, he's really been through a lot. D:

If it gets any worse then I'd use the bettafix.

Maybe do a salt bath to make sure finrot doesn't set in
