Color: bright red

Type: VT

Tank: 5.5 gallon cycled with silk plants & driftwood

He died last winter of old age. He was very special so I actually managed to dig through snow and semi-frozen ground to dig a grave for him. He was a tough guy too- lived through his tank cycling by itself before I even owned an ammonia test kit. Luckily for him I got interested in the hobby fairly quickly and learned a lot fast!

Name: Rainbow

Color: Blue, maybe red and purple accents, it was about 14 years ago, so I'm a little foggy, just guessing that he had more than one color if i called him Rainbow

Type: VT, I assume since they're most common, I don't think i even knew there were different kinds when I was 8 or 9

Tank: 1 gallon bowl, which my mom faithfully cleaned twice a week, because I wasn't exactly the most responsible child..

Rainbow lived for 2 or more years, I was pretty devastated when he died, i didn't get another fish for 4 or 5 years afterward

When: Last month
Colors: Blue VT with lots of red in his fins and a deep purple face.
Tank: 5 gal. bowfront

Had to move his original tankmates (2 dwarf froggies) out of his tank because he was eating all of their food in addition to his.

As of last night he has two new buddies in his tank - spotted cories. Last night I watched him for hours while he stalked them. He never attacked them but sure let them know who's tank it was.

Oh i forgot to say I had my chili for only a week.
He grew nasty long white hair-like stuff and died.
