After fin rot

After Keiko my black lace HM (he blossomed into an OHM actually, to bad about the fin rot though ) gets over fin rot I want to breed him. Mainly because I love blacks and second his dorsal fin has more than 11 rays meaning he carries the DT gene (also he has a very nice and wide dorsal). So I want to mix him to a DT. I chose my Armadillo Dragon female. If the spawn is succesfull I'll take one of the fry and breed back to the father to hopefully get all blacks and because it's black lace the females will be firtle).

What do you think??

i think it sounds fantatic, but if you in breed fish it wont give them deformities? ive been woderign that. and my spawn should come out black too :D

It will give them slight deformities. But not until generations 6-10 which by that time you introduce new genes. The reson I'm going back to the father on this is: the first spawn carries 50% of the fathers genes. Breeding back to the father will get the next batch to have 75% of the fathers genes.
