A few questions about aquarium salt

Ok, so I made a board earlier about my betta's dorsal fin being torn.
I got aquarium salt but I have a few questions before I use it.

Can my betta be in the tank when I put the salt in?
Do I have to change the water every time I put the salt in?
How many times a day/week should I put it in?

eh, i wouldn't keep him in the tank when you put the aquarium salt in because of the risk of it hitting his body and burning him. what i do is put it in their tanks(i grind it up into a powder because aquarium salt does not dissolve)every time i do water changes. if you follow the correct dosage, you can put it in every time you change the water. i wait a minute or 2 after i fill up the tank with the new treated water, and then return them to the tank. i've never had problems with it. hope that helps a little :)

I've found it useful that if the betta handles the salt baths well, to keep them in water like that. I keep my bettas in a gallon of water with a teaspoon of aquarium salt if they have fin rot. But only if they handle the salt bath good.
