Wouldn't it be lovely to have a betta specialty store where the bettas were well looked after and you only sold betta appropriate stuff? and people with sick bettas could bring them in to be looked after.

I would do that, cept the economy sucks.

I would only sell tanks and bowls 1 gallon or larger- and decorations appropriate for betta tanks- silk and real plants and things without sharp edges and pokey bits.
Instead of cups I'd display them in a wall of long thin divided tanks so they'd all have at least 1/2 gallon to themselves, and a plant and ceramic coffee mug to live in.

Yeah I would split a 2.5 gallon in two and keep them like that.

Hmmm..... well, location, location, location.
Also, market research.
You'll need to register a company name.
Find some funding. Venture Capitalists, angel investors, grants, etc.
Buy some land.
Build the facilities.
Get some marketing and advertising going.
Hire a few specialists.
Gain revenue.
Pay off investors.
Gain the rest of the revenue
Make sure you take care of your expenses of maintaining the fish and facilities, pay your employees, etc.

Have fun.

Just a basic business plan if anyone here wants to get serious about the idea. 'Cause I can tell you now, that's the basic outline of any business venture right there.
