Woke up this morning to find Ollie like this...

It looks like he's injured himself somehow... like some of his scales or a layer of his slime or something got removed...
This is the best picture I could get.

Also, at the moment, I'm treating him with bettafix and there's a little bit of aquarium salt in his tank.
Is there anything else I should be doing?
The area I'm talking about is on his head by his eye.

Thank you. My guess is he got it trying to get to the bottom of his tank through the rocks, he's been doing that lately.

Yeah it sounds like you're doing ok treating it- despite everything we do to try to make their habitats safe for them they still find ways to hurt themselves once in a while. He'll probably be just fine.

Thank you guys, I figured he'd be fine as well. It just seems like it's a never ending battle of either curing him or making sure he heals. :(

Yeah I know how you feel, he may just have knocked some scales off but that usually heals on it own, so using aquarium salt should produce better results. Hope he gets better!

if you want to get a better pic, try backing up a little bit. it looks like you focused on the rocks behind him, but some cameras can't focus that close unless you either have a macro lens or a macro setting on a point and shoot. if you want to try for another photo in the future, just see if you can get a little farther from him and then use the zoom or enlarge in photoshop. i hope he feels better!
