His fins were stringy and he wouldn't eat? D: Could you please describe stringy? Cause with that description I think of bacterial fin rot, and if he wasn't eating it might've been stress or internal parasites :S

Well, they were just getting kind of... clamped up, I suppose. And he was getting paler, too. I had him for about a week, then he started just... getting worse. He got real lethargic, and wouldn't leave the place he sleeps (in a tiki's mouth). He also had a peculiar habit of sleeping with his tail straight up in the air, white he was wedged between a tiki and the glass. Is that normal? Or was he already getting sick there? (He didn't drown, though. He was curled around a tiki when I found him, perfectly capable of getting to the surface). I just don't know D:
And thanks everyone (: I went and got a double tail, and he's doing great right now. Really healthy. I hope he does better than Laurence did. No name for the double, yet. I'll post pictures soon.

Hmmm I'd put my money on internal parasites. :S I seen cases where sick fish would just hide kind of hide or stick themselves into weird places and only come up for air. He was probably already sick when you got him T.T Internal Parasites is pretty hard to diagnose...

I'm glad your new fish is doing better though :)
