Okay, so even after I took the spiky plants out that I didnt even think were rough enough, his fins kept getting worse. So I looked more carefully at the tall plants I had in there. They're covered in tiny spikes, I don't know how else to describe them. They don't stick straight out but along the plant, like little speedbumps lol. But they are definetly rough and I didn't notice them!! I only bought them because they were supposed to be smooth. so I took them out a while ago. His fin rot is barely noticeable unless you know what it looks like. But the rips are getting worse :( so I took them out too. He hasn't made a bubblenest in two weeks either. His tank looks so empty! All he has in there is the small accent plant and his cave. He missed his plants when I first took them out, he loves swimming in them. But I hope he will get better soon! I love his bubblenests being there and I haven't seen his tail healthy yet... he had fin rot when I got him. Anyway, wish for a quick recovery.
Hope I get to the store soon, I'm going to upgrade to silk plants. Maybe I can use these ones in a guppy tank or something.
