fin question

so i have a lovely little delta tail boy. Finneus.

Finneus loves to hang in his plastic plant. a day after i got him, he had a little hole in his tail, but it went away quickly (leading me to believe it was from the plant).

Today, I went to clean up the tank. He obviously did not like this plan and kept flipping around the tank and hiding. I had to trap him with my little net. Putting him back in the tank, I noticed his fins were messed up.

Could he have developed fin rot that fast? or could this just be me being a horrible mother and hurting him while getting him out of the tank?

Just an injury. Do salt baths. Hope he gets better!!!

Water changes aren't very fun for fish and sometimes they get hurt trying to get away from us. You're not a horrible mother. I'm sure he'll be fine.
